A rebuilt automatic transmission includes the labour to completely disassemble, and re-assemble the transmission with a complete rebuild kit, replacing any damaged hard parts and installing a rebuilt torque convertor.

Once it is confirmed that your vehicle is in need of a transmission rebuild, the process is as follows:

Removal of Automatic Transmission
Disassembling the automatic transmission, this consists of completely stripping down the transmission, to check all internal parts and determine what has failed internally.
Inspect all Parts, to determine the ones that can still be used and the ones that will need replacing
Thoroughly clean all parts that will be used in the re-assembly of the transmission

Assembling the automatic transmission back together, performing any modifications that may be required as a result of new updates correcting manufacturing specific problems.
Re-installing the automatic transmission with a rebuilt Torque Converter, and adding to the transmission the specified transmission fluid.
Once all the above steps are performed the vehicle is test driven, any adjustments or adaptions required are made at this point.
The last step in the process is performing a quality assurance check after the final test drive. This process consist of checking for leaks, ensuring correct fluid level, checking for any loose or missing bolts, ensuring electrical harnesses are securely fastened, and lastly checking for any transmission related codes in the vehicles computer.
